Alviera Sandbox, Porac, Pampanga

Hello again SUMMER 2014! Another set of activities under the heat of the sun, surely an adventure I'd love to redo over and over again.

Experience 70% of our physical and mental will demonstrated by yours truly and my courageous co-field architect and engineers! Wooh! clap clap! haha
Us and coach Marlon! lols
One happy Sunday morning, we decided to try out Sandbox for the thrill of trying out the giant swing, aerial walk and free fall.
Pre-walk preps! Weeee! Excited much! Readyyy?
Here we go, my first few steps! Yeah!

There goes Dave!
Clinging well as I walk sideways on vertical logs. They're not that stable so I hope you guys got strong arms to avoid body pain the next day.
Pretty easy, yap, we can do it! Come on vàmonos! Everybody let's go... Dora moment!
Bunso of the group get's to go first. There we are at the back. The time when I was caught pulling him back as he was trembling to his knees :p
My turn. To tell you the truth, it's not as easy as it looks. It's easier to hang on a string than stand on unstable logs at the same time pulling yourself to the next station. Well, I made it through so anybody can do it.
Hanging on strings 101. Hold on tightly!
Made it through! Next!
See me up there! Yeah! I'm at the highest point of the adventure walk!
Everybody's busy doing their own thing. We like to move it move it! No turning back on our vocabulary!
Hello Kevin! haha. This was the time my heart skipped beats!
And when I got tired of my nervousness...I finally let go.
Sammy yow!
Next one, well, gotta try the next best thing, The Giant Swing! Here we were getting buckled up. Safety first!
The time they pulled us up, slowly, higher and higher!
Shouting our hearts out! Waaah! It's too high!!! hahaha
Sammy and Dave's turn! Woot!
While sitting and waiting for my workmates to fall off the free fall, this was my almost unobstructed view...
The rest of our backyard, I meant, Sandbox
View from the parking lot.

The fall I was scared of, Free fall. Some 40feet. No jumping though, just fall.
Meet Sam, the first one to brave the fall.
Once again, thank you Alviera! See you soon! We'll try the zigzag zipline next time ^_^

    1. Hello! There's a food bar on site, but if you're looking for real food, SM Clark is just 5 mins away, just exit on the other end of SCTEX to Clark South Exit, you'll see food establishments just outside of right side of the fence, or go to Northwalk Clark or at SM Clark instead. For other attractions and food spots you can check out http://thequainttraveler.blogspot.com/search/label/Travel%20Pampanga :)

  2. Hi I just wanna ask if there is a weight limit for the rides? I'm around 200 Pounds I'm worried that if I go there they will tell me I can't enjoy the facilities. and is there an age limit I have young cousins that are around 12 years old and our family is a little bit on the heavy side..

    1. Hey, sorry it took too long to reply, I haven't noticed your query. Your weight should not be a problem with the activities. The materials used in this recreational park are tested to carry heavier weight.

As per age limit, I don't think it will be a problem either, the only concern will be the height of the person. The aerial walk requires a height of 5" minimum to clamp and release harness mechanism :)

    1. Hey there!

By commute: You'll have to go to SM Clark, ride a jeepney bound to Porac. Ask to be dropped off to Sandbox as its route will pass by the complex.
Going back, you'll have to wait on the same drop off point and wait for Jeepneys passing by, but assume and be prepared to wait 'cause the vehicles will be loaded coming from Porac.

By driving: You'll still have to get inside Clark and exit to SCTEX. From there, it will only take about 10 minutes from there :) - recommended.

      I hope this helps,
      Mel

    1. Hi,

Same with my advice earlier, take any bus heading North (Dagupan, Baguio, Laoag etc.) and note that you be dropped off at Dau (Mabalacat, Pampanga) Terminal. From there, take a Jeepney along McArthur Hiway with "Angeles - Dau - Mabalacat" route. The jeepney will unload beside Astro Park, and a few meters away from SM Clark Terminal. Go to the said terminal then ride a jeepney bound to Porac. Ask to be dropped off to Sandbox as its route will pass by the complex.

Going back, you'll have to wait on the same drop off point and wait for Jeepneys passing by, but assume and be prepared to wait 'cause the vehicles will be loaded coming from Porac.

      I hope this helps,
      Mel

    5. Hi Jhonjoy,

Aside from Clyde's useful information, you can also check out the hotels in Clark or if you're looking for cheaper accommodation, there are lots of hotels at the perimeter of Clark (Fields Ave. and nearby streets, Don Juico Ave., or Mc. Arthur Hiway).

      God bless,
      Mel

  8. Been to Sandbox Pampanga last year too with friends. The first two attractions we saw are the Giant Swing (left side) and Aerial Walk (right side). Too bad the Aerial Walk is already full. It can only accommodate a certain number of adventure-seekers at a time. The line at the Giant Swing, on the other hand, is too long we’ve decided to proceed to the Adventure Tower first. Will surely go back to the place too with more friends! :)
